Welcome to Waves of Wonder Montessori School and our recently acquired, Cedar Montessori School.
We offer multi age programs for children from infancy to Grade 8 fostering the love of learning, academic excellence, creativity and mutual respect.
Cedar Montessori is the oldest Montessori school in Naples with over 37 years in operation. It was established on November 1, 1983 and opened its doors on January 2, 1984. The school offers our students ample educational space, measuring 11,798 square feet, situated on a 1.53 acre campus, with a large, secure yard, trees and a playground.
Waves of Wonder Montessori School has been in operation since 2009 and now we continue the legacy at the new Cedar Montessori campus.
Collectively, we provide a collaborative learning environment, based on the time-honored principles developed by Dr. Maria Montessori over 100 years ago, designed to stimulate each student’s critical thinking skills, cultivate inquisitive minds and empower children to actively participate in the rapidly changing environment of the 21st century.
The Montessori teaching methodology is uniquely based upon observation, peer learning, tactile learning materials and intrinsic motivation. Within each classroom, multiple grades or levels of students are combined, creating an environment whereby students serve as leaders for one-another. These elements all come together to create a truly distinctive and remarkable approach to education.
Our school is bilingual, one of the first in Naples to pioneer Spanish language instruction integrated into the curriculum.
